Laser Dentistry

    In addition to the conventional dentistry, we have been using the latest laser technology in our dental treatment procedures.  We utilize FDA-approved hard-tissue and soft-tissue lasers (Diode, Nd:Yag, Er:Yag, and Er:Ysgg) in our practice.  The laser technologies which we use for our patients are safe and more compatible with the natural healthy state of the human body than the conventional treatment methods.  They have replaced dental drills, needles, anesthetics, scalpels and sutures for many common dental restorative (fillings), periodontal (gum), endodontic (root canal), and minor oral surgical procedures.  The success rates of these laser-assisted treatment  procedures are much higher than the conventional ones because the laser energy can travel deeper into the infected tissues and reach bacteria where the conventional disinfecting chemicals cannot.  Our patients have reported of much less discomfort experience from the laser-assisted treatment procedures compared to the conventional treatment procedures.  We also have observed of faster and better healing results from the laser-assisted treatment procedures.

What is WaterLase?

    WaterLase is from the Biolase Company (or similar laser technology from Fotona Company).  WaterLase uses a unique combination of YSGG (or Er:YAG of Fotona) laser energy, water and air to provide a more comfortable dental experience with lasting results.  WaterLase is very precise and highly effective for hard and soft tissues – less bleeding and post-operative discomfort.

Why WaterLase Can Be Painless?

    WaterLase ultilizes advanced laser technology to remove decayed and infected tissues without contact, heat, vibration and pressure.  WaterLase also can operate at frequency which is below the nerve pain receptor threshold. Less or even no anesthetics are needed for numerous procedures.

Is it safe?

    WaterLase is safe, precise and effective.  Waterlase® was approved by the US FDA for hard tissue procedures in 1998.  Since, it has been cleared for numerous additional dental procedures.  Many doctors around the world have used WaterLase to deliver precise and comfortable treatments for patients at all ages.

Benefits of WaterLase Technology:

    * Provide treatment with less or even no anesthetics
    * Provide minimally invasive restorations
    * Reduce patient anxiety
    * Reduce bleeding, after-treatment swelling and pain
